Market risk
Cryptocurrencies are highly volatile. Prices can move twenty per cent or more in a single day, sometimes within minutes. No bot strategy, including ones offered through Zeongrow, can guarantee a positive return. Many traders lose money, and you must be prepared to lose the entire amount you allocate.
Strategy and over-fitting risk
Strategies that backtest well on past data may underperform in live markets. Past performance is not an indicator of future results. Start every new strategy with a small allocation you are comfortable losing while you observe how it behaves in real conditions.
Operational risk
The Zeongrow platform depends on third-party exchanges, networks and payment rails. Outages on the exchange side, latency, partial fills and unexpected API behaviour can all affect a bot's results. We design the platform to fail safely, but you should monitor active bots periodically rather than treating them as fire-and-forget.
Regulatory and tax risk
Canadian regulation of crypto assets is evolving. Future rule changes may affect which exchanges Canadian residents can use, which products are permitted, or how trading gains are taxed. The Canada Revenue Agency requires disclosure of crypto transactions for tax purposes. Consult a registered Canadian tax professional for your situation.
Security risk
Even with strong security at every layer, your account can still be compromised if you reuse passwords, click phishing links or share two-factor codes. Always use a unique password, a hardware-key or authenticator app, and never share your trading PIN.
Suitability
Crypto trading is not suitable for every investor. If you would feel meaningful financial pain from losing the amount you intend to deposit, do not deposit it. Money allocated to a bot strategy should sit in your portfolio at the same level of risk as venture capital — not the level of a savings account.
